Communication and access services for Perth schools
Consultation and collaboration to build staff capacity and enhance student outcomes.

We provide specialised allied health services that build the capacity of schools to support students with complex communication and access needs.
Our clinicians are highly skilled in implementing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and alternative access technologies (e.g. eye gaze, switch access) in classroom environments so students can access the curriculum and meet their potential.
We have experience working with Education Support Schools, Education Support Centres, Mainstream Schools and Education Networks to build teams’ capacity to support student access and learning needs.
Understanding the unique needs of your school.
Our services are designed to meet the unique needs of each school, offering flexible and collaborative support, including:
- Regular speech pathology (SP) and occupational therapy (OT) support for targeted areas.
- Integration within school teams to align with school-wide goals and priorities.
- Collaborative work with school staff to build skills and enhance student outcomes.
- Consultation services to help schools plan and implement effective strategies.
- Short-term capacity-building projects to support leadership and key staff in developing sustainable systems.
- Training for school staff to increase expertise and confidence in supporting students.
- Customised service combinations tailored to meet the specific needs of each school.
What does this mean for both schools and their students?
For schools, our services provide:
- A coordinated approach to supporting students with complex communication and access needs.
- Professional development that empowers educators and staff to integrate evidence-based strategies within their classrooms.
- A focus on sustainability, ensuring that knowledge and frameworks remain embedded within the school for long-term impact.
- Flexible service models that align with school priorities, ensuring therapy interventions enhance classroom learning rather than disrupt it.
For students, this means:
- Greater participation in learning, with access to communication tools and assistive technologies that remove barriers to engagement and achievement.
- Increased independence with the technology and supports to achieve their best.
- A more inclusive school experience, with staff equipped to support their unique needs in real time.
Recognising the limitations of individualised student therapy supports.
Meeting the communication and alternative access needs of students within the classroom can provide complex challenges for educators. Collaboration between educators and allied health clinicians with specialised knowledge in these areas enhances staff skills and student outcomes.
Superyou Therapy’s services for schools do not replace the role of students’ primary therapists but can assist schools in co-ordinating and integrating varied student needs and recommendations into their classrooms.
Students’ NDIS funded individual therapy supports don’t always include and address school priorities or the training and support needs of school staff.
Superyou’s services for schools help enable co-ordinated, differentiated, systematic approaches to address the priorities and needs of school teams.
How do we help?
Each school has unique goals and needs, and we want to learn about your school’s priorities, business plan and the needs of your staff and students. We can work with you to design a package of support that meets your needs and preferences.
The intensity of our services can vary from short-term consultation to regular, onsite support embedded within your school.
