What drove you to choose a career in your discipline?
I have a passion for helping people and always wanted a job that could offer a lot of variety.
Do you have any special interest areas in therapy?
Very interested in assistive technology and currently trying to upskill in that area now. I like the challenge of finding the best piece of equipment that suits the specific person and can help increase their independence. Currently looking more into home modifications and Specialist Disability Accommodation, I'm finding it very interesting and I am keen to learn more.
What's your favourite part of your job?
The variety of people I get to work with.
Why did you join Superyou?
I was first referred by a friend of mine who joined as a speech pathologist who had lots of really good things to say. I found that I aligned quite well with their values, my own interests and thought it be the perfect place to start my career.

What drove you to choose a career in your discipline?
I chose a career in speech pathology because I love helping people, I love being creative and I love a good chat!
Do you have any special interest areas in therapy?
I am currently upskilling in dysphagia and mealtimes! This is a special interest of mine because I come from a big family and I know how important mealtimes can be. Not only so that we can get fed but to spend time with each other, spread the love and enjoy ourselves! I want to make sure that my clients are able to enjoy their meals and celebrations with their friends and family safely. I also have a strong interest in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Seeing my clients work towards their goals through having access to extra modes of communication such as AAC makes me smile!
What's your favourite part of your job?
My favourite part is making sure that I bring activities or ideas which not only target intervention but are also fun and important to my clients!
Why did you join Superyou?
One thing that stood out to me about Superyou was being asked "what do you love about speech pathology?" in the job interview... I had never been asked that before and it certainly made me think!
Wild card question - what else should we know about you!
I believe the ideal sandwich is Cheese Supreme Doritos on fresh white bread.

I chose speech pathology because I love helping people and value the power of communication to connect us. I really enjoy the creative side of the profession—no two sessions are the same, and I’m passionate about being people‑centred and supporting clients in ways that are meaningful to them.
I have a strong interest in multimodal communication and AAC, and I enjoy exploring how different tools can support clients’ everyday communication. I also love working with social communication clients, getting to know their individual communication styles and supporting them throughout their journey. Neurological rehabilitation is another area I’m passionate about, as it’s very meaningful to support people as they adapt and rebuild their communication following life‑changing events.
My favourite part of my job is getting to know clients and families and seeing the world through their perspectives. I feel very privileged to support people to communicate in ways that are meaningful to them, take greater control of their communication, and create positive changes in their own lives. I also love that I’m constantly learning and growing through each interaction.
