What drove you to choose a career in your discipline?
When I was in high school, a love for sport and a natural inclination to excel in Human Biology. Physiotherapy fit both areas and I was accepted straight into Curtin University. Since graduating in 2013, a fascination of the complex workings of the human body and anatomy. I have worked in a number of different fields and experienced many aspects of physiotherapy, currently exploring the disability sector to assist people where I am able.
Do you have any special interest areas in therapy?
Particular interest in scapulothoracic rhythm, how the shoulder blades assist with our arm, neck and back function. A passion for acute care, intensive care, and complex acute rehab.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
Meeting all the wonderful people that we interact with on a daily basis, I always leave work with a smile on my face.
Why did you join Superyou?
I joined to be part of a progressive, forward thinking allied health team to support people living with different abilities. It has been incredibly rewarding to work alongside so many talented clinicians and clients.
What does Reimagining Therapy look like to you?
Reimagining therapy looks at therapy through a holistic lens, exploring all aspects of daily living and assisting with challenging areas through multi-discipline input.
