What drove you to choose a career in your discipline?
Growing up I was very interested in music and how things are made, and of course coupled with a love to chat meant I just kind of fell into speech pathology!
Do you have any special interest areas in therapy?
A main special interest is early communication development and supporting children and their families to reach their milestones and achieve their communication goals. Literacy and phonics has also become a keen interest recently, especially as we live in a very literacy dependent world!
What’s your favourite part of your job?
Every day is different and there’s always something new to learn. We also have such a vast team of knowledge and skills that are great to tap into when you need them!
Why did you join Superyou?
Having just moved to the area from QLD, I was very keen to see what different career options there were for clinicians. Superyou appealed to me because of their great therapist perks, commitment to high quality care and overall approach to supporting their clients.
What does Reimagining Therapy look like to you?
Not getting stuck in a rut or in “the way we’ve always done it”. Allied health is an ever changing space and Superyou has a commitment to keeping up with those changes, and even driving some of them!
