What drove you to choose a career in your discipline?
I found an interest in speech and communications through studying and working in the theatre! That early interest combined with a desire to help others led me to become a Speech Pathologist where I continue to be driven to understand and support communication for my clients.
Do you have any special interest areas in therapy?
I enjoy working on speech sounds and literacy skills for our clients. I have also committed to continuing to expand my practice by developing skills further in Mealtime/Dysphagia Management.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
I love working with clients to find the ‘little wins’ that are most meaningful for them. When we stack them up and look back, they can provide real satisfaction for their hard work.
Why did you join Superyou?
Superyou presented as an organisation that looks out for it’s clients and it’s staff in a really genuine way. Not just striving for improvements for clients, but striving to improve internally as an organisation was really inspiring.
What does Reimagining Therapy look like to you?
Identifying solutions that suit the individual!
Wild card question – do you have anything else you’d like included in your bio?
When not working with Superyou, I can be found singing with my piano and guitar at popular Perth venues or events!
