What drove you to choose a career in your discipline?

I chose working as an OT because I’ve always been drawn to active jobs where I can directly contribute to improving the quality of life for families. Occupational Therapy has a broad scope of practice which allows every day to be different!

Do you have any special interest areas in therapy?

I have a passion for working within the paediatric scope, particularly focusing on motor skills, sensory processing, and emotional regulation. I am also interested in feeding therapy and trauma-informed care. I will soon be adding to the animal assisted therapy team!

What’s your favourite part of your job?

My favourite part of the job is the diversity among clients, which keeps me constantly learning. I enjoy having to use outside-the-box thinking to help each person live a life that feels meaningful to them. The supportive office culture and teamwork also make it a rewarding environment to be in!!
