What drove you to choose a career in your discipline?

To turn an impossible into a possible! I wanted to become an Occupational Therapist, to empower others, help people overcome challenges, and to help people live their lives to their fullest potential!

Do you have any special interest areas in therapy?

My passion lies in helping people of all ages and abilities to live fulfilling and meaningful lives. I have a particular interest in emotional regulation, mental health, daily life activities and assistive technology.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

My favourite, and most rewarding aspect of my job is connecting with people from all walks of life. Each client has a unique story and experience. It’s special being a part of my clients’ journeys, and helping them navigate their path to independence. I also (very much) enjoy the multiple matcha and pastry runs with my Bassendean crew!

Reimagining therapy to me, is about embracing creativity and innovation to discover new ways of empowering my clients on their journey to independence, and to make a real difference in their lives.
