What drove you to choose a career in your discipline?

I really wanted to be able to help people improve their quality of life and engage in activities that were important to them. I also wanted to work in a growing profession that works with clients to achieve their personal goals to increase their independence.

Do you have any special interest areas in therapy?

I have interests in food play therapy, emotional regulation and pediatrics that I hope to get a bit more experience in as I progress.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

That everyday there is something new and there is so much variety on the type of work we can do!

Why did you join Superyou?

I joined Superyou because of the supportive and structured Kickstarter program, the fun environment and work culture, and the realistic expectations for Kickstarters! The amount of training and education provided for Kickstarters to develop professional knowledge, as well as the slow progression of caseload, helped ensure my career was able to begin without being overwhelming!

What does Reimagining Therapy look like to you?

Ensuring therapy is person-centered and every approach is specifically tailored to the person and maintaining open and honest communication with clients and families to allow for choice and control over their therapy and informed consent.
