What drove you to choose a career in your discipline?
I studied Psychology because it’s a field that develops transferable skills & rewards the pursuit of various areas of interest. Earlier in my career I also worked as both a clinician and research officer in drug and alcohol treatment clinics.
For the past four years I’ve worked with autistic people and their families, running parent groups, training events and completing autism assessments for children, young people and adults.
Do you have any special interest areas in therapy?
I’m passionate about providing neuro-affirming assessments to help autistic people and their loved ones better understand their neurotype & what they need to live the life they want.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
Witnessing the changes that have occurred in the autism field over the past 20 years. I’m excited that health professionals are now collaborating with the autistic community to further develop our understanding of autism and how to best support autistic people.
Why did you join Superyou?
I wanted to join a team who are enthusiastic about innovation and providing neuro-affirming interventions & assessments for autistic people.
