What drove you to choose a career in your discipline?
I have loved talking and interacting with people since I was young and that soon shaped into this drive to support people which eventually led me to allied health. I chose Speech Pathology just to see if I like it and instead I fell in LOVE! I love how we can support people in so many ways through speech, language and even mealtimes! I also enjoy living all the small wins with people, working towards their long term goals.
Do you have any special interest areas in therapy?
I really enjoy providing mealtime supports as food is such a huge part of my culture and live and knowing this drives me to get creative to ensure all our clients can enjoy all the foods they love whilst being safe. I also enjoy working in Early Intervention, following the child’s lead in therapy and supporting them with their communication development through play and meaningful experiences.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
I enjoy working with my wider team, especially joint sessions because I always come out of those session having learnt more about how to support our clients holistically. I also really enjoy the culture Superyou strives to provide and always feel taken care of.
Why did you join Superyou?
I was drawn to all the perks and supports Superyou provides, initially I questioned how they would deliver everything they were offering but since joining Superyou has stuck by all their values and promises! I am also proud to be working for an organisation that takes care of their employees and prioritises mental wellbeing.
